According to its constitution, CAMPE’s aim is to extend mass literacy, disseminate information and promote conditions for effective participation of the disadvantaged and the poor. CAMPE’s mandate makes it crucial to limit its mark around basic, primary and secondary education. However, CAMPE has had to make some exceptions on the basis of demands from various stakeholders. It has been engaged in right based campaign focusing on awareness raising for issues like health rights, climate change, which also has an impact on literacy rate and state of poverty.
